Admission
2012/13 SCHOOL YEAR -
- OPENINGS: A completed admission form with payment of $30.00 places your family on our priority wait list. When an opening occurs, you will be contacted for a school visit, and offered a placement into the class of your preference.
- Alumni Families: Siblings of alumni are given preference. Alumni admissions for the next school year begins each October. Contact the Friends office for details.
- Current Families: Current students are guaranteed space in the following year's program if they complete all necessary forms by the due dates and have completed their Fundraising and Workday credits for the current year.
- New Families: Our school year runs late August to late May. Admissions for the next school year begins each October. A detailed Admissions Packet, including dates, fees, and forms, for next year is now posted above.
- They will be at least 3 years old by October 1 of the year in which they are enrolled.
- They will be potty trained by the start of school (no pull-ups please!)
We begin placing students in January. When your child's name is at the top of the list, you will meet with our Director to tour the program you requested for your child. All families are typically notified of their status by late January. You can expect the following fees and deposits:
- $30 non-refundable application fee due with Application Form
- $130 non-refundable placement fee when you accept a spot in our program after your tour
- A one month tuition deposit due at placement. The deposit is applied to your May tuition installment. It is forfeited if your child does not attend Friends as planned.

Friends welcomes eligible new children into our programs whenever an opening occurs. The first day we start our registration list for the following school year is in October(check Calendar for exact date, as it varies), with an E.Mail system. After that day, other interested families are added to the list when they submit their application. Children are eligible to attend Friends when they meet the following criteria:
- They will be at least 3 years old by October 1 of the year in which they are enrolled.

SCHOOL VISITS
You and your child may visit the program(s) you are considering while class is in session. Once your child is enrolled and attending the school, you are welcome to visit according to the guidelines in our Open Door Policy.
